Former MKFM presenter becomes TikTok sensation for teaching how blind people perform everyday tasks

Former MKFM presenter Lucy Edwards, who is from Milton Keynes, has generated over half a million followers on TikTok.

The 24-year-old has been blind since the age of 17 and started sharing videos on the social media platform back during lockdown.

The short clips include information on how she uses her phone, cuts vegetables, showers, and navigates through everyday life with her guide dog and sighted fiancé Ollie.

And these videos have generated over 15.6 million likes, resulting in over 681,000 followers.

Speaking to ITV Anglia about how Lucy started making the videos, she said: "I thought, right, there's no one chatting about how a blind person is living through lockdown but also just generally about the home - what do I actually do?"

"I was getting questions, even from my closest friends, about how I do things."

Lucy, who posts using the hashtag #blindnotbroken, says that the response she has received has been amazing, adding: "It's just more than I ever would have dreamed... the message genuinely is 'blind not broken' you can have a disability and you aren't broken."
