The car park has suffered a 'significant structural collapse' and four firefighters are in hospital following a huge fire at Luton airport overnight.
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, the fire service which covers Luton, first declared a major incident at 9.38pm last night (10/10).
15 fire engines, three specialist aerial appliances and more than 100 firefighters were on the scene at the fire's peak.
The building is said to have suffered a "significant structural collapse" and it is believed that up to 1,200 vehicles may have been in the car park.
At roughly 3.57am, firefighters were still trying to put out the enormous blaze and prevent it from spreading.
The East England Ambulance Service said four firefighters and one member of airport staff were taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
Another patient was discharged at the scene.
