Firefighters called to blaze in Milton Keynes home

    Fire crews were called to an address in Bletchley on Tuesday morning (10 January).

    Two crews from West Ashland, along with two officers, were called to an address on Bushy Close, Bletchley at roughly 8:09am on Tuesday morning after a fire broke out.

    Smoke could be seen issuing from the two-story terrace house of which a fire was located on the ground floor of the living room.

    Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a positive pressure ventilation fan and an Incident emergency care kit when fighting the blaze.

    The ground floor of the home was left approximately 50 per cent damaged by fire, and first floor were 100 per cent damaged by smoke.

    Two men, who were out on arrival, received care for smoke inhalation from South Central Ambulance Service.

    A cordon has been put in place to make the area safe while fire crew remain on scene checking for hotspots and removing burnt material from the property.
