Fire crews tackle Milton Keynes pet shop blaze

    Animals relocated during fire.

Three fire crews were called to a pet shop fire this morning in Rooksley. Fire engines from Bucks Fire & Rescue’s West Ashland and Broughton stations raced to the Pets At Home store near Bradwell Common to deal with the blaze and resultant heavy smoke inside the unit.

The fire was located in an electrical intake on the ground floor of the two-storey building. Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a carbon monoxide extinguisher and a high pressure ventilation fan during the operation.

Crews also helped to relocate animals trapped in the building.
