Fire crews tackle Milton Keynes bungalow blaze

Man suffering from smoke inhalation handed to ambulance staff.

Three fire crews plus officers attended a bungalow fire in Milton Keynes in the early hours of this morning.

The Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue appliances – two from West Ashland and one from Broughton – arrived at around 3am to find the Stacey Bushes bungalow ‘fully involved’ in fire.

Firefighters carried out immediate emergency care to one man suffering from suspected smoke inhalation and handed him into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

The crews utilised breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras in the property. They also used two hose reel jets, one main jet and other equipment to bring the blaze under control. Thames Valley Police were also in attendance.

Re-inspections have been carried out by a crew from West Ashland at various times throughout the day and a fire investigation officer is on the scene.
