Fire crews called out to two reported Milton Keynes car fires in a single afternoon

    Milton Keynes fire crews were called out to two separate reported car fires in a single afternoon on Wednesday.

    At just before 3pm. firefighters responded to a call to a large vehicle on fire on the A5 near the Old Stratford Roundabout.

    One appliance and crew from Bletchley attended but the incident turned out to be a false alarm with good intent.

    Then at just before 5pm, a car fire was reported in the ASDA car park in Bletcham Way, Milton Keynes.

    One appliance and crew from Bletchley attended.

    Firefighters used one set of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze.

    They also provided advice to the car owner.
