Fire crews and police called to Santander building in Central Milton Keynes following plant room fire

    Fire crews from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue were called a fire in plant room of multi-storey commercial building on Sunday.

    At around 8:56 PM on Sunday 24 October, crews were called to what is known by locals as the 'old' Santander building.

    Many residents took to social media after spotting several police cars and multiple fire crews at the scene.

    It has been revealed by Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue that there was a fire in the plant room.

    Seven crews and fire engines attended the scene from Broughton, West Ashland, Newport Pagnell, Buckingham, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.

    Police officers were also in attendance.

    The firefighters found smoke logging to the basement of the building.

    They used a thermal imaging camera and isolated a plant room.

    Nobody has been reported as injured.
