Fire & Rescue incidents in Milton Keynes overnight

    Busy night for Milton Keynes firefighters.

    Crews from West Ashland were called to a single car collision on Buckland Drive in Netherfield yesterday evening.

    A car had come off the roadway and into a lamppost. The two adult occupants were uninjured.

    Firefighters made the scene safe and removed the lamppost that was obstructing the road.

     

    A crew from Broughton was assisted by the Wildfire Unit from West Ashland in dealing with a fire within a tree stump in a hedgerow at Astwood.

    Firefighters used a hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and small gear to deal with the blaze, and made precautionary checks of the field to ensure no fire spread.

     

    Later, a car fire following a road traffic collision at the Stoke Hammond Bypass was dealt with by crews from West Ashland.

    The driver was injured, and passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

    The car was 100% damaged by fire.
