A new knife amnesty bin has been installed at the Campbell Park Community Council offices in Springfield.
The initiative, delivered in partnership between Thames Valley Police and Campbell Park Community Council, reflects a shared commitment to tackling knife crime and improving community safety. It provides residents with a safe and anonymous way to dispose of knives and bladed items.
“We are pleased to have secured this new knife amnesty bin in collaboration with Campbell Park Community Council," said PCSO Craig Hawksworth, "Every knife that is surrendered is one less weapon that could be used to cause harm. This initiative will make a real difference in helping keep our communities safe.”
The bin is accessible to the public and allows anyone to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted or dangerous blades, supporting a proactive approach to reducing knife-related incidents across the parish.
