Milton Keynes Museum has a packed programme of events for visitors to the history hub later this week.
It is holding three days of 'Amazing Archaeology' for youngsters to enjoy, on top of all its usual attractions.
Among the activities, visitors will be able to learn to weave, dig like an archaeologist, find out more about fossils and take part in ancient crafts.
All events run daily from Wednesday to Friday (August 13-15), and youngsters will also be able to make clay pots and play medieval games (Thurs & Fri only).
"We believe the school holidays should be about fun and the chance to enjoy new activities - and stepping back in time to learn some new skills and getting hands on with fossils is definitely that!" said Surbhi Bhambri, Deputy Museum Director.
"Past experience showed us that children love these events, and so this year we're offering even more.
"We know that parents are partial to arts and crafts and shoebox digs, too!"
