EXCLUSIVE: Brand new mobile coronavirus testing unit opens in Milton Keynes town

MKFM can reveal that another coronavirus testing facility will open in Milton Keynes this week.

A mobile unit will be visiting West Bletchley and administering PCR swab tests twice a week.

It will be available for both drive-in and walk-in tests on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 3pm.

This means that residents who have COVID-19 symptoms can book a test through the Government website or by calling 119, and be tested in West Bletchley from tomorrow (16/2) onwards.

The mobile unit will be located in the Royal Air Forces Association car park, along Tattenhoe Lane and near to Windmill Hill Golf Course.

It will operate alongside the four local sites that are already testing thousands of residents daily. There are currently COVID-19 testing sites in Bletchley, Central Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, and Wolverton.

Milton Keynes is also home to a rapid asymptomatic test centre, in Milton Keynes Library, which offers lateral flow tests to key workers.
