The Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA) held its 7th annual awards ceremony at the Marshall Arena on Thursday 14th March.
Fourteen gongs were awarded recognising businesses that have demonstrated excellence in different fields in Milton Keynes with an impact much further afield.
Vantage Event Structures, the company behind Winterland Milton Keynes 2019 which are based in Old Wolverton, took home the Design & Creativity Award for their innovative designs and creative excellence, which has included the rebuilding of the nightclub Nation for Creamfields in 2017 and more recently a giant Rubik’s Cube for phone company Huawei.
The company’s MD Matt Bowler, who has been spearheading the Winterland Event, also picked up Entrepreneur of the Year, for his “ability to diversify in the face of recession” and “create not just one but two outstanding businesses; MK Scaffolding and Vantage Event Structures” which builds structures for events such as Wimbledon and The Chelsea Flower Show.
“It was a brilliant evening and such a high calibre of nominees, I feel very humbled and honoured to have been recognised for all my hard work and that of my team” Matt says.
