Independent businesses invited to intu Milton Keynes to showcase their Christmas goodies this December.
This Christmas, intu Milton Keynes will be hosting the city’s first ever Etsy Made Local market, a showcase of some of the best local Etsy creative community and the ideal opportunity to conquer Christmas shopping and connect with the makers and designers behind the perfect gifts.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 2 December in the shopping centre, is part of a national event that will see dozens of cities from coast to coast celebrating the makers, designers and collectors that sell on Etsy.com, the online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods. It’s about encouraging people to look locally for this year’s Christmas gifting and connecting them to more than 40 local makers and designers.
Marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes, Kirsty McGiff said “We are really looking forward to hosting our first ever Etsy Made Local market and we think our shoppers will love it too. We have a great mix of traders taking part so there is something for everyone and it will be the perfect opportunity to pick up a special gift for a loved one this Christmas.”
Some of the local Etsy sellers taking part include Outhouse By Hand who specialise in handcrafted goods from local and sustainable sources, beautiful pottery from Andrew Macdermott, Baxter’s Boutique for fashion conscious dogs, stunning art from Ruth Eales Art, Scandinavian homeware and accessories from Louise Brainwood and gorgeous hand lettered prints to make you smile from JenRoffe Prints.
