This Saturday (November 22) will see the Christmas lights switched on in Milton Keynes City Centre, and there will be a fantastic accompanying line-up to mark the festivities.
Comedy elves will roam the crowd from 3pm, and at 4pm magician David Allen will welcome audiences and kickstart the fun.
Performances will follow from the children of Christ the Sower Primary School, and local arts school Arts1, who will bring a Frozen medley and a high-energy tap dance number from Elf.
Audiences will then be treated to jazz and swing classics from local singer Ollie Corbett, before the much-loved Milton Keynes Rock Choir take to the stage.
The Evil Ringmaster from this year’s Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, will stop by for a chat before being joined by Father Christmas himself at 5.20pm for the official countdown.
Together, they will light up Central Milton Keynes - including Midsummer Boulevard, Midsummer Place, 12th Street and the brand-new Christmas tree outside Milton Keynes Theatre and MK Gallery - all funded by City Centre businesses.
A spectacular fireworks display will close the event as the new city lights up for Christmas.
