Enjoy a portion of fish and chips for 45p at new store in Milton Keynes on Saturday

Fish and Chip chain Mother Hubbard's will open its new branch in Central Milton Keynes this Saturday – and the prices will be every bit as tempting as the food.

The brand opened its first shop in Bradfield in 1972, with Corrie stars Stan and Hilda Ogden cutten the ribbon. Back then, the price of a portion of fish and chips was 45p.

To celebrate the opening of this new store, on the opening day Mother Hubbard's will offer its first 1000 customers a portion of fish and chips at those same 1972 prices.

The shop will open seven days a week, and for those who don't want to takeaway, the restaurant will also have plenty of seating.

Mother Hubbard's will operate from Unit 3D, 18-20 Secklow Gate West. It will open its doors at 11am on Saturday.
