Eat Out to Help Out boosts the restaurant industry - it’s now time to Work Out to Help Out!

Local gym franchise petitions government to create a scheme that will help save a badly effected industry AND one that can save lives!

Rob Francis, owner of energie Fitness gym in Kiln Farm and Be Military Fit outdoor fitness in MK, has joined in a national effort to get the government to subsidise the fitness industry that has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown. A petition has been launched online to lobby the government into creating a similar scheme for gyms and fitness studios across the country as the hugely successful Eat Out To Help Out campaign.

The petition link can be found here.

Rob says, “The scheme for restaurants has worked brilliantly. You can’t get a booking from Monday to Wednesday anywhere, and people have spent millions of pounds because of it.”

He continues, “It’s been a real boost to the nations dining sector but now it’s time to save our fitness industry, which has been really badly hit with a national chain going into administration and many small operators being unable to reopen their doors.”

Fitness experts believe that a Work Out to Help Out scheme would help to save a vital industry as well as help to protect the NHS.

Boris Johnson has taken on the services of a personal trainer and is on a personal mission to lose weight because he believes that doing so will improve his health and help to protect him from the terrible effects of COVID-19.

The fitness industry is full of the people who can help advise, support and ensure that members of the public are doing the right things towards their goal of reducing their waist lines.

The UK is already reported to have an obesity issue greater than anywhere else in Europe, which results in unnecessary strain on the health services – which can be avoided through fitness. The dangers of obesity and the sometimes consequential diabetes have all been linked to deaths by COVID-19 and could have been avoided through simple fitness.

“So we are asking the government to support the people who are best placed to help the nation get fit, get healthy and lose weight. We are taking part in a national campaign created by one of our energie Fitness gyms in Putney, London. We think it’s a great idea and want the government to take action. Help us help the NHS by subsidising gym membership and fitness activities.”

At energie Fitness Milton Keynes they offer am indoor fitness experience with group classes, trainers and some of the best equipment to train with. Also the “world’s best outdoor fitness experience” Be Military Fit.

TV personality and Adventurer, Bear Grylls has become one of the owners of the national brand because he is so keen to help get the nation fit.
