Drivers in Milton Keynes are being told to check their tyres after a local motorist was reported to the courts.
Thames Valley Police stopped a vehicle for a document check yesterday, and a subsequent inspection of the car showed two tyres with cord exposed.
Officers tweeted to say the driver was reported to court.
They added: "It is the driver’s responsibility to check the tyres are structurally safe, and have sufficient tread for each journey."
