Double victory in Milton Keynes today as MK Dons secured a much-needed win against Bury and MKFM's Samantha The Panther beat a number of other local mascots in the half time mascot race.

Two penalties from MK Dons’ Chuks Aneke were enough to secure victory at Stadium:MK for our local side, with Bury only managing a single goal, courtesy of George Miller, as the game ended 2-1.

The result leaves MK Dons just one point from safety in 22nd place in League One with 38 points. Local rivals Northampton sit directly above them in 21st and Fleetwood are sat just outside the drop zone in 20th place with 39 points and a game in hand.

Meanwhile, the biannual Milton Keynes mascot race also took place with local icons including Donny and Mooie from MK Dons as well as Pucky from Milton Keynes Lightning who finished in third place.

But MKFM's Samantha The Panther claimed victory as the winner of the event, which takes place at half time as part of the MK Dons Family Dons Day.

Samantha The Panther said: "It's fantastic to have been able to take part in the event once again and I'm absolutely thrilled to have won the race. Thanks so much to everyone who came along to support the event, to all the other mascots and well done to the Dons on their victory too!"
