Developer wants to build over 70 new homes in well-established Milton Keynes estate

A housebuilder has shown interest in building 73 new homes in a well-established Milton Keynes estate.

Taylor Wimpey South Midlands wants to build a new residential development in Shenley Church End.

The developer is currently drawing up plans for 73 new homes on a parcel of land that lies to the south of Daubeney Gate and is bordered by Portway, to the west, and Vache Lane, to the east.

The proposals include 46 homes available for private sale and 27 "affordable" properties, with a mix of three, four and five-bedroom designs. Parking, including visitor spaces, plus areas of open space, are also included in the plans.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Taylor Wimpey will be holding a public consultation for the proposals online, between Monday 2nd and Sunday 15th November. Visitors to the consultation website will be able to view the plans and provide their feedback, before a full planning application is submitted to Milton Keynes Council.

Emma Walton, Senior Planning Manager at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, says: “As a considerate, responsible developer, we want to give people the chance to have their say on development plans for their area.

“Anyone who visits our consultation website will be able find out more about our proposals and provide their feedback to help us develop and refine the emerging scheme.”

The consultation website, www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/daubeneygate, will be live from Monday 2nd November.
