The A421 from J13 of the M1 is to become a dual carriageway and work starts soon.
The works fall under Central Bedfordshire Council rather than Milton Keynes and they've issued this statement:
Preliminary work will start shortly on the A421, in readiness for the main dualling upgrade work starting in 2019.
There will be a 40mph speed limit in place from junction 13 of the M1 motorway up to Eagle Farm roundabout. So please allow extra time for your journey.
Weight restrictions are in place for nearby villages, and we're working with the police to enforce these.
Eagle Farm roundabout is the first roundabout you come to when entering Milton Keynes from the M1.
