Dean Lewington one game away from 700 for Dons

If the captain starts on Saturday, it'll be his 700th career appearance for the side, including when it was named Wimbledon FC.

The defender made his debut for Wimbledon as a substitute in their 4-2 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday in 2003.

Lewington went on to become captain and has been in the side throughout its time in Milton Keynes.

Manager Dan Micciche credits the 33 year old for his continued professionalism, "What we get from Lewie every day is 100% commitment to what we're doing and his experience is going to be key going in to the run-in"

Looking to the future, Lewington spoke of how he'd like to stay with MK Dons after retirement, "Obviously it's been a massive part of my life and if that's the route I go down then i'd like to do it with MK"
