Speaking to MKFM, Dan Micciche talked about taking up the job as manager at MK Dons.

In his first press conference as manager, Micciche spoke about how he never really left MK after his time as an academy coach.

"I've got a strong relationship with the chairman, I never really left, obviously I still live here, my three children were born in Milton Keynes they go to school here so I feel part of the furniture and it's never left me so I think coming here is a perfect fit."

Micciche comes to MK Dons with experience in the national side set up, having coached for the FA.

Dan Micciche also spoke about potential transfers, with him coming to the side late on in the window.

"These players deserve a chance first, I've told them it's a clean slate. I wouldn't have taken the job if I didn't think the squad was strong enough."

"First of all we'll look within the building, we may look at one or two options, we might need to strengthen obviously we've lost Joe Walsh and Scott Golbourne so we may need to look at that area of the pitch but that's not a reflection on the players that are here just due to injuries"

"We'll see how Saturday goes, review it on Monday, we've had two recruitment meetings already"
