The Milton Keynes Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Dame Ann Limb took on the role of President of the charity as of January 2026.
With a distinguished career spanning education, public service, and charitable leadership, Dame Ann has led further-education colleges, chaired organisations such as City & Guilds, elected the first ever woman chair of The Scouts, and founded the Helena Kennedy Foundation to support disadvantaged students.
More locally, she has been a driving force in Milton Keynes for many years, chairing organisations such as Destination MK and the MK Major Events Board, supporting major cultural and sporting events including the Milton Keynes International Festival and the Rugby World Cup 2015, and serving as Chair of the Stables Theatre and IF Milton Keynes Through these roles, she has championed education, arts, and community development, helping to shape MK’s cultural, and civic life as we now see it.
Dame Ann has spent half of her life in Milton Keynes, and will be taking over from Fola Komolafe MBE DL, who has served as President of the Community Foundation for almost 4 years.
Speaking on her appointment, Dame Ann said:
“I am honoured to have been asked to take on the role of President of the Milton Keynes Community Foundation. In so doing, I know I have big shoes to fill, following in the footsteps of some great Milton Keynesians including my immediate predecessor, Fola Komolafe. I intend to devote my time over the next three years to championing the Foundation’s work and impact alongside my new role as a full-time working peer in the House of Lords.”
