Customers to provide COVID-19 status certification at Milton Keynes Theatre as re-opening approaches

As Milton Keynes Theatre prepares to open this Sunday (25/7), they have taken to social media to announce their guidelines for visitors as well as staff.

After being closed for 16 months, the lights will finally come up and the curtain will rise again, as audiences are welcomed back for a season of world-class entertainment from this weekend.

MK Theatre will be requiring all adult customers and staff to provide COVID-19 status certification.

COVID-19 status certification includes confirmation of both vaccine doses via the NHS App or proof of a negative PCR or lateral flow test (also known as a rapid test).

All visitors, unless exempt, are also being asked to wear a face covering whilst in the venue.

In a statement on Facebook, the theatre said: "We’ve been closed for so long these current measures are a necessity to ensure we can fling open our doors and welcome audiences to our incredible shows. We thank you for being responsible, safe and kind. Let’s put on a show!"
