Crews tackle van fire in Milton Keynes

Blaze following vehicle collision near centre.

Firefighters were called last night to a van fire after two vehicles were involved in a collision near the city centre.

The crew, from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue’s West Ashland station, used breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera during the operation to make the area safe.  Nobody was trapped in the vehicles.

Thames Valley police also attended and a road closure was put into place at the site of the crash, on Saxon Street.
