Crewe Alexandra fans suspended following reports of racist abuse during game against MK Dons

    Crewe Alexandra FC has said it had been made aware of an incident inside its stadium.

    The reported incident took place during Saturday's League One game with Milton Keynes Dons.

    Crewe Alexandra Football Club have confirmed that two supporters have been identified and suspended from attending matches.

    The club says it has also informed Kick It Out and The EFL.

    The statement from Crewe Alexandra Football Club reads: "Crewe Alexandra Football Club can confirm two individuals have been identified and suspended from attending matches, pending the conclusion of a police investigation.

    "The club was made aware of an alleged racial abuse incident that took place inside the stadium during the Sky Bet League One fixture with MK Dons.

    "Crewe Alexandra would like to thank those who reported the incident and reiterates that it will not tolerate any form of abuse or discrimination."

    Police say its investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information to get in touch.
