Council Leader's five-word message to people as latest Milton Keynes infection rate revealed

The Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Cllr Peter Marland, has issued a five-word message to people on social media this evening as the latest infection rate for Milton Keynes is revealed.

Milton Keynes seven day coronavirus infection rate now stands at 112 per 100,000 people, an increase from 108 per 100,000 people yesterday.

The update was tweeted by Cllr Marland and accompanied by a simple message: "Stay home unless you can't".

Meanwhile, technical difficulties today mean that the government is yet to publish the English data on case numbers and death numbers nationally.

It comes as health chiefs at Milton Keynes Hospital revealed earlier that there are 20 people at Milton Keynes Hospital with COVID-19 at present - including two in intensive care.

New coronavirus lockdown restrictions are now in force across the country until December 2nd.
