Community campaigner urges local Fire Authority to clean up former Milton Keynes fire station

    A local Labour community campaigner has written to the local Fire Authority, asking them to clean-up a former fire station on Great Holm which is now plagued with graffiti.

    In July 2020, Great Holm and Bletchley Fire Stations closed for the final time as the Blue Light Hub opened in Milton Keynes. Since then, the former Great Holm Fire Station building has been sat empty.

    Labour Community Campaigner, Shanika Mahendran, who lives locally on Great Holm, is concerned that the former fire station. Since closing, it has become a magnet for anti-social behaviour and vandalism as security hoardings erected around the building have been filled with graffiti.
