Following a traffic collision in Wolverton in the early hours of this morning, police have closed the Stratford Road from The Old Bath House down to the train station.
“Officers requested a vehicle to stop on Stratford Road, Wolverton, at around 1.10am this morning , the vehicle proceeded to flee the scene, and was then involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle.
“A woman in her twenties was taken to hospital where she is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Three other people sustained minor injuries and have since been discharged from hospital.
“A 31-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of drink/drug driving, failing to stop and exchanging details and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He currently remains in custody.
