The news that Namji restaurant has closed its doors in Central Milton Keynes is another blow for independent businesses here in the new city.
The multi-award winning diner, serving authentic punjabi cuisine, had been a fixture in the Xscape building since the summer of 2021.
"It's another knock for independent retailers in the town, and of course for the family behind Namji, who have always been a pleasure whenever my friends and I have dined there," one regular customer told us.
"We will miss their wonderful meals and their service, but it's also a blow for those on low incomes and those unfortunate enough to find themselves homeless; owner Naseem did so much for our community, and always had a hot meal waiting for those in need, with no questions asked.
"It makes this closure even more desperately sad."
MKFM has contacted Namji for comment.
