Cleric, author, broadcaster and former Communard is scheduled to appear at Action4Youth’s Big Night Out!

On Wednesday 11th September, Reverend Richard Coles will join Action4Youth and more than 1,000 local young people and their families.

The charity’s annual celebration event and awards ceremony will be held at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

Appearing alongside Sir Anthony Seldon, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher and Countess Howe, the co-presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live and BBC 1s The Big Painting Challenge, regular TV quiz show panellist, Strictly Come Dancing contestant and former Celebrity Masterchef semi-finalist, will inspire and entertain the young people who have completed one of Action4Youth’s impressive development programmes during 2019.

Awards presented throughout the evening will include dedication awards for long service by volunteers, young people who have achieved their Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award, Young Leaders and graduates from the summer 2019 Action4Youth National Citizen Service (NCS).

Jenifer Cameron, CEO of Action4Youth says: “Our annual Big Night Out is the highpoint of our year and we look forward to sharing the excitement with the hundreds of young people and volunteers who will be receiving awards and dedications. We are thrilled to welcome Father Richard, Vice Chancellor of the University of Buckingham, Sir Anthony Seldon and Countess Howe to this year’s event and we welcome the return of our patron Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher.

“Every year the young people of Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas wow us with their confidence, creativity and commitment to making a difference to their community. Last year, as part of the Action4Youth NCS programme, they raised over £25,000 for local charities and we couldn’t be prouder. We can’t wait to see what this year’s NCS intake achieves.

“Our thanks to IeLive events, Movey and Buckinghamshire College Group for their continued sponsorship of the event. Sponsors play a vital role in enabling us to celebrate the achievements of inspirational young people from all walks of life and of all abilities, who continue to challenge themselves, overcome their fears and develop their team work, leadership and communication skills.”

Sponsorship opportunities for the Big Night Out are now available. Any business or individual who would like to support Action4Youth, please get in touch via email nick.lund@action4youth.org or telephone 0300 003 2334.
