It seems plenty of shops in Milton Keynes are getting ready for the big day which is just over 10 weeks away.
Christmas stock was spotted as early as August 2020 when somebody snapped an elf-themed bag at Poundstretcher in Westcroft.
Then the first known place to put up a full festive display was the Woburn Sands Emporium. The garden centre attracted attention by decorating the store with plenty of Christmas trees, reindeer, and a festive train.
They said that due to "varied trading conditions" they sold out of furniture earlier than usual and decided to fill the empty space by starting early.
And since we're halfway through October, it seems to almost be the norm to start speaking about the festive season since even more shops are sharing their displays.
The Range has dedicated a large section of its Central Milton Keynes store to Christmas merchandise with one shopper saying that there is "absolutely everything you need".
And John Lewis in the centre:mk has blown people away with their scenic displays... we're just waiting for the Christmas advert now!
Ikea, Costco, and Cherry Lane have also launched their festive range.
And Frosts, another popular garden centre, has unveiled their magical display which will be home to a grotto in the coming months.
Recently people have been debating whether it is too early to be planning for Christmas 2020. It seems that the consensus is that people are enjoying the cheery nature of the displays and are seeing this as something to look forward to in the current climate.
One resident said: "Whether or not one agrees or disagrees with Christmas decorations being up... whatever puts a smile on your face or children's faces, then all good. What we do or do not do is irrelevant to anyone else, let kids enjoy a happy time, covid has ruined this year up to date."
