Charging battery believed to have caused fire in Milton Keynes flat

    Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire in a Milton Keynes flat believed to have been started by a battery on charge.

    The firefighters from Broughton and Newport Pagnell attended the fire in a flat yesterday (20/02) at around 6 pm.

    When they arrived at the flat on Vintners Mews, Neath Hill, the fire was already out. 

    Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service told us that firefighters assessed the situation and gave advice to the residents.

    In a statement, they said: "Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera, ventilated the area and gave advice.

    "The kitchen and lounge of the ground-floor flat were affected by light smoke-logging."
