CCTV image released in appeal for information following theft

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image in an appeal for information following a theft from an elderly member of the public at a store in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

At around 3.20pm on Friday 11 November, the victim, a 77-year-old woman, was shopping in Home Bargains, at Beacon Retail Park. She had placed her handbag on the seat of the trolley.

While shopping, she was approached by a woman and was asked about an item on the shelf.

While this woman was distracting the victim, another woman – who was accompanying the woman distracting the victim – walked up to the trolley and placed her top over the seat of the trolley.

The victim subsequently realised that her bag had been stolen.

Officers would like to speak to the women in the CCTV image as they believe they may be able to help with the police investigation.

Anyone with any information can contact PCSO Craig Hawksworth, based at the Central Bletchley and Fenny Stratford office, on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
