The Brinklow Roundabout, near Kingston, has fully reopened following a large-scale resurfacing project.
The emergency project was kick-started at the beginning of April to fix the many defects that had been caused on the surrounding roads.
It had originally been planned to take six weeks, but following many complaints from residents and road users, the project was accelerated and completed in just over half of the expected time.
People had branded the road works "chaotic" as people living nearby struggled to get out of their housing estates due to heavy congestion.
But the works were completed on Saturday and traffic is now running smoothly.
A spokesperson for Milton Keynes Council said: "Brinklow Roundabout, Kingston is now completely resurfaced and is fully open to traffic.
"Thanks for bearing with us as we carried out this big project on a busy roundabout."

In other news, there are several other roadworks taking place in Milton Keynes over the next week. These include several road repairs in Central Bletchley, Tilbrook, Olney, Tongwell and Stony Stratford.
