Brow business continues to take shape in Milton Keynes

Following some 'big life changes' three years ago, Amy Goff swapped her home in Bristol for the new city of Milton Keynes – a new beginning and a chance to be closer to her family.

Having that support system nearby was really important to me, and it’s been wonderful to be part of a community that feels welcoming and family-oriented," she told MKFM, "The move has allowed me to balance my work, my family, and my personal life in a way that works really well.

The new city quickly charmed this newcomer.

“I love the sense of community here and how family-friendly the area is. It’s been amazing to meet so many lovely people, and I feel like the city has so much to offer for both personal life and business growth.”

Settling in was important not just personally, but professionally – Amy has spent the past eight years working as a brow and lash tech, and she needed to build the brand up in her new home.

There's a real duty of care at work with every client she sees through her Allure Lashes & Brows business.

“I am really passionate about empowering women and I love how brows and lashes can completely transform someone’s look and boost their confidence,” Amy said, “I love seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces when they leave feeling amazing. It’s such a rewarding feeling, and it’s why I’ve stayed in this industry for so long.”

Amy works from home, which she says allows her to 'create a warm, homely yet professional environment for my clients' and gives her the flexibility she needs to balance her work and personal life.

“Rebuilding my business here has definitely been a journey,” she admitted, “I didn’t know anyone other than my family when I first arrived, but over time I’ve met so many amazing women who have become friends as well as clients.

“The support from the community has been incredible, and it’s been so rewarding to see clients returning and spreading the word. I’m excited to continue meeting new people and growing my business.”

And what does Amy think makes Allure Lashes & Brows the business to go to?

“I aim to provide a highly personalised and professional service in a welcoming, friendly environment,” she says, “Every client leaves feeling confident and cared for, whether it’s brows, lashes, or just a little self-care.

“I truly believe in helping women feel their best every day, and that dedication is what sets my business apart.”
