Brooklands resident running 50 miles for MIND during February

Rosie Allen, from Brooklands, is midway through her challenge to run 50 miles for mental health charity MIND during February.

She told MKFM about why she took on the challenge:

"I work for the local SEND team at the council, so I often see the effects of mental health face to face, and of course we all experience our own mental health difficulties too.

"Unfortunately mental health is affecting a lot of people at the moment, and I think having such a big challenge will help me to have a focus and keep healthy."

Rosie has currently covered over 30 miles so far and raised £375 to date, with just 12 more days to go.

"I’m no runner at all and obviously fitness has gone downhill with the three lockdowns, so this really is a big challenge for me, I’m hoping I can get people (one at a time and following all social distance guidelines) to join me on some days where motivation begins to lack."
