Second person tests positive for coronavirus in Milton Keynes, according to reliable sources

A second patient has tested positive for coronavirus in Milton Keynes, reliable sources have told MKFM.

UPDATE: New case of coronavirus confirmed in Milton Keynes 

The patient, who is not believed to be connected to the person who died at Milton Keynes Hospital earlier this week, is currently self-isolating with support from health professionals.

Sources have told MKFM that the affected person had recently arrived back in Milton Keynes from abroad and has since tested positive for the virus.

No Milton Keynes schools or health professionals are believed to be connected to the newest case.

MKFM will provide more information once this is released by Public Health England.

It marks the second coronavirus case in Milton Keynes, as the number of nationally confirmed cases hits 273.

The first case involved a man in his early 80s who was being cared for at Milton Keynes Hospital and sadly died on Thursday.
