Police confirm 'severed foot' found in Humberside not linked to missing Leah Croucher

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a 'severed foot' found in Humberside is not related to missing Leah Croucher from Milton Keynes.

Yesterday evening, The Sun and The Daily Mail reported that Police were 'reportedly considering a link to a woman’s severed foot that was found 130 miles away'.

It was found on April 25 having been reportedly "deliberately dismembered" and left by the footpath in New Waltham, Lincolnshire, according to the national newspaper.

However, in a statement to MKFM, Thames Valley Police have said: "Thames Valley Police can confirm that following forensic examination of a dismembered foot discovered in New Waltham, Humberside it is not that of the missing teenager Leah Croucher and that no links have been identified between the Humberside Police investigation and Leah’s disappearance."

Leah was seen on Buzzacott Lane in Furzton, just after 8.15am on Friday 15 February. She was walking in the direction of Loxbeare Drive and Chaffron Way.

Leah’s family last saw her in Quantock Crescent, Emerson Valley, in Milton Keynes, at around 10pm on Thursday 14 February. Her family reported her missing the following day (15/2).

Police Chief Inspector Neil Kentish said in March: “Despite a thorough ongoing investigation the last confirmed sighting of Leah remains in Buzzacott Lane, Furzton, just after 8.15am on Friday 15 February. After that sighting she appears to have vanished."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101.
