Armed police were at the scene of an incident in Stacey Bushes, Milton Keynes on Wednesday night.
A number of Police vehicles and armed officers were seen on a residential street with a number of residents contacting MKFM to report this.
Witnesses were also reporting that a dog unit was present with officers believed to be surrounding a house on the estate.
Police have now confirmed that they attended following a 'third party report of a firearms incident'.
However, on arrival it transpired this was a mental health episode and no firearms were found.
There was no crime recorded and no further action was taken.
