A5 Northbound re-opens in Milton Keynes following oil spill

The A5 Northbound has re-opened in Milton Keynes following an oil spillage.

Police put a closure in place at around 8.30am this morning between the Kelly's Kitchen Roundabout near Fenny Stratford (A4146/Watling St/V10 Brickhill St) and the junction with Bletcham Way (Caldecotte Lake).

The road later re-opened at around 11am.

Officers say that the oil spill was across both lanes with motorists advised to choose an alternative route for any journey this morning.

Traffic has now returned to normal following the closure being lifted.
