Bolshy older women bring live art to MK Gallery

Operation Herbody, at MK Gallery's Sky Room on July 4th is their first collaborative show. Expect a candid, funny live art experience, with real-life stories, ritual, film and motion-sensing music technology.

FBI+A are Deej Fabyc, Penelope Best, Danielle Imara and Sarah Andrew.

Fabyc's risk-taking live and video art, Best's dance psychotherapy, Imara's outsiders' experience and interactive music tech, plus Andrew's work around fine art and the law are a potent mix.

As self-confessed 'bolshy and bold post-menopausal people' with a combined age of over 230, they have tales to tell!

Operation Herbody, at MK Gallery's Sky Room on July 4th is their first collaborative show. Expect a candid, funny live art experience, with real-life stories, ritual, film and motion-sensing music technology.

Operation Herbody explore how the female body is medicalised – during pregnancy, fertility treatments, menopause, mental and general health issues, and cosmetic surgery. Each artist speaks/acts from their own experience, and tells a story in their own unique way.

The performance links strongly with MK Gallery's Portugues artists Paula Rego exhibition.
