Bolbeck Park Murder to feature on Crimewatch

The investigation into the murder of a 64-year-old woman from Bolbeck Park is to feature on the BBC's Crimewatch tonight.

Tonight on Crimewatch, police will show exclusive new CCTV in an appeal for viewers’ information after the murder of a woman from Milton Keynes.

Hang Leung, 64, died after a terrifying burglary on her home on Tuesday, 31st January. Detectives appearing on the programme will show previously unreleased CCTV footage of a man they are keen to speak to in connection with the investigation.

Mrs Leung had moved to Milton Keynes from Hong Kong in 1991, with her husband and their son Keith. She had worked as a police officer there. In 2006 she bought a takeaway business and worked there.

On Tuesday 31st of January, Mrs Leung was at home in Bolbeck Park, Milton Keynes while her husband went to work. At 6pm, a man knocked at the door and, after she had opened the door, forced his way into the house, followed by a gang of five other men. They ransacked the house and stole cash, a Rolex Oyster watch, a Louis Vuitton bag and a long service medal, awarded to Mrs Leung by the Hong Kong police.

Unreleased police bodyworn camera footage, to be shown for the first time on tonight’s programme, shows the extent to which her home was turned upside down by the men as they looted her possessions.

The following day, a traumatised Mrs Leung was admitted to hospital. She died on February 11th. Police are treating her death as murder. They are appealing for any witnesses who saw the men in the Bolbeck Park and Orne Gardens area of Milton Keynes on the night of the burglary.

Mrs Leung’s discarded purse was found on Weedon Road, Aylesbury, between 6.45pm and 9.40pm on the night of the burglary. Police believe it may have been thrown from a passing car and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police are also keen to track the stolen gold men’s Rolex Oyster Watch with the model number 68274, serial number 8216199 and Mrs Leung’s Hong Kong Police Long Service medal with WPC 15037 inscribed on it (Hang’s shoulder number).
