Thames Valley Police has confirmed that a woman's body was recovered from the canal in Fenny Stratford earlier on today (16/6).
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be a woman in her eighties who was reported missing at around 7.30am today.
Her death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious.
Her next of kin has been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
