It is perhaps a sad indictment of the current knife crime epidemic that this blade was found discarded in plain sight near MK1 yesterday.
The knife was spotted by someone walking home from work: “It was fairly long and serrated - a good six to eight inches long,” they told MKFM, “Given all the constant horror stories about knife crime, it was a little unsettling to see.
“I walk that route regularly and it is right near the path, so could be seen by anyone walking past. It is also not far from the hotel front, which isn’t a great look.”
The knife was reported to police who have since retrieved it.
