A scheme aimed at promoting healthy living across Milton Keynes has been hit by a series of technical problems and vandalism during its launch week.
'Beat the Street' provides a series of checkpoints across the city and allows people to 'tap' a smart card at various locations in order to collect points.
However, MKFM has heard reports that points at various places including Shenley Brook End have been vandalised and no longer work correctly.
There have also been a series of reported technical issues with machines not recording cards and people being unable to collect their points.
Some residents have also taken to Twitter to complain about the service.
@BTSMiltonKeynes what a waste of public money. Badly managed event. Tried 3 today 17,82,88. None works. Just binned the cards and fobs..
