Police have advised residents in Bletchley to be vigilant, following an increase in burglaries in the town over the last month.
The majority of recent incidents have happened early in the evening, with cash being the main target.
Residents are being advised to 'Light it up: Keep burglars out,' and simple tips have been shared that can help people everywhere to protect their properties:
> Use lights on timers or smart bulbs which can be activated remotely
> Consider a smart doorbell or home CCTV
> Keep valuables out of sight, and get them security marked
> Invest in lights with movement sensors for outside the property
> Keep doors, windows and garden gates locked
> Ask a neighbour to keep an eye on your property, and return the courtesy
