The blaze affected three flats in a three storey block – with two of the properties 100 per cent damaged by smoke, water and fire.
Six crews had attended the fire, and the third property had smoke damage and fire damage to the loft.
Two adults suffered the effects of breathing in smoke, and one adult received minor burns to their hand during the incident.
“We can confirm that there is an investigation into a fire that occurred on Sunday 27 July on Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell,” A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said.
“The investigation is currently ongoing, a man in his thirties has been arrested for produce of a Class B drug and released on police bail.
“Anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43250379439.”
