The momentum is building and teams are securing their places on the water for the 2026 edition of the Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival.
The event is a calendar highlight in the new city, and the new year is the perfect time for you to sign up for this year's event, being held on Saturday, July 4, at Willen Lake.
All of the necessary training is provided, from how to hold a paddle to syncing as a team. It's the perfect blend of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. No experience is necessary, and it's a great networking opportunity.
Teams of up to 15 can participate, and you can help swell the coffers of the charity of your choice - MK Food Bank, Toybox, Harry’s Rainbow, Willen Hospice and Al’s Pals are on board and they would love for you to fundraise for them
Even if you don't participate, you can have a fantastic time watching those on the water - the Drasgon Boat Festival is free for spectators.
Catering vans, facepainting, dragon head workshop, inflatables, RAF flypast, music and more will feature.
