Welcome to our newsletter. We hope that May is treating you well. If you've missed the latest on social media, here's what we've been up to this month.
Mayor of MK Awards
We're delighted to have scooped the Active Travel Award in the Mayor of MK Awards! Tom accepted it, recognising our residents' hard work in reducing their reliance on cars and opting for greener travel options. Since November, they have travelled 600 miles sustainably as part of our Green Miles Scheme.
Public Defibrillators Available at Camphill MK
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to local councillors Sam Crooks and Paul Trendall and Sads UK, the Milton Keynes community can now access our defibrillators at our Willen Park and Pennyland sites.
Bradbury House Walk on World Autism Acceptance Day
We celebrated World Autism Acceptance Day with a whole-community walk to our new accessible home, Bradbury House.
We also buried our very own time capsule! We hope that whoever opens it in the future will discover what our world was like living, working and celebrating together.
Thank You to Our MK Marathon Weekend Runners
We were so pleased to have exceptional individuals running for Camphill MK at this year's MK Marathon Weekend, 4th & 5th May 2025.
Together, our runners raised vital funds for Camphill MK, which will help us continue to grow through our large capital expansion project to build new accessible homes for adults.
We had 18 residents running the Superhero Fun Run.
They were amazing on the day! So far, they have raised £4,314 (with Gift Aid £5,300). You can still sponsor them HERE.
Our service user, Eddie, ran the Half Marathon with three friends.
Eddie and his team finished the half marathon in 1 hour and 57 minutes, alongside Matt and Danny! Blaine wasn't far behind – thank you for your support! You can still sponsor him HERE.
We also had Ross Lane, Senior Partner at Mercer & Hole LLP, running the full marathon. It's his fourth running challenge, and we're so grateful he chose our charity. Ross finished his marathon in 4 hours and 47 minutes with little training due to an injury! What a fantastic achievement! You can still sponsor him HERE.
